You will find the fuses in the junction block (or as we call it a fuse box), it is under the dash to the left of the steering column, above were you left foot would be. Check the dome fuse to make sure it is good. It is a 15 amp fuse. It will probably be good since it also powers other things too.

I sent you a pm so check it out also.
EVERYONE HERE I took some pics of my fuse box everything seems to be in place..Posted Image

I really want my radio (aftermarket) to work. Also my dashlights would be cool also.
I suspect your aftermarket radio is the problem, sounds as if it's wired wrong. Try turning the dashlights dimmer knob on the lower left part of the dashboard all the way each direction and see if anything changes.
See my post for pics of the fuse box & aftermarket radio

In the picture of the fuse box. The ones in the right lower corner are spare fuses. The fuses should be behind the cluster of wires. The cover may still be on it. Remove it if it is there and check the dome fuse to make sure it is good. It supplies power to the radio. If the fuse is good then check for voltage to the white wire at the cars wiring connector for the radio.

Scroll down to Post #11 here: http://geometroforum.com/topic/2559772/1/

While that is for a 94, your 98 shouldn't be too different. If you don't already have one you should seriously consider purchasing a Factory Service Manual for you Metro. Not a Haynes, not a Chilton an actual Factory Service Manual, they commonly come up for sale on ebay.

Good Luck!
Got my radio to power on but I'm not getting any sound, all the wires are connected to the right other but just not getting any sound

Are you sure the speakers are good? No static sound just dead silence? Make sure your system is grounded properly. Try a known good speaker and hook it up to just one set of speaker wires and see f you get sound.

I would imagine there's a good chance that whatever problems you are experiencing are related to the wires that have been hacked into with crimp connectors instead of it being wired and soldered properly into the radio harness (either directly or using an adapter).

Especially since you have been messing around in the area with the connectors that were added and now your problem has changed from one thing to another.

So your saying I should get a wire harness instead of binding the wires together? Because its getting and its binded..

Considering that I don't recall you ever even checking a fuse and you seem much more concerned about your radio than your dash lights, and you didn't described exactly what you did to get one thing to start working but another part of the system suddenly stopped...

Personally I would suggest you take your system to someone who understands wiring schematics and radio installations and can determine how everything is wired and properly make any needed repairs, before you accidentally learn how much more important your other car systems are than your radio and how little it may take to cause a bigger problem by messing with the wiring without knowing exactly what you are doing.

It could very well be a whole lot cheaper in the long run.

I found a blown fuse in the car and I replaced it, But however I found i think I know why I'm not getting any sound it is because the AMP is off or not getting power I will have to take to somebody like you guys said or if I figure it out before then.
