Hey fellow forum members, I have a 96 Metro that I need to replace the front hub assembly (both sides) on and am having one helluva time finding these on the old "interweb". Are there any interchangeable parts from other years or Swifts that I can use. I have a NON-ABS unit and all I seem to locate are the ABS parts or replacements for the REAR.

Really appreciate the help. :banghead

Do you mean this part?

Those hubs fit into the knuckle:

There are lots of used spindle assemblies on ebay.... but you already have used ones. If you want to rebuild them, the bearings can be had too on ebay, but the rebuild REQUIRES a hydraulic press, patience and some ingenuity. I've rebuilt mine and it takes about 2 hours a piece Remove, rebuild, and replace.

Used ones may get you by for a while so you can rebuild yours when you can.

It sounded like he just needed the hubs, and hub assemblies are hubs with wheel studs installed.

Thanks guys, EVMetro is right. I need the hub only and the one in the link on ebay looks exactly like the ones I need. I'm concerned given the seller says " It should fit all 2 door hatchback Metros from 1995 to 2001, but that is up to you to verify". How do I verify this will fit my metro? I don't have the money to blow if these are not right. Is the seller claim correct?

On my 4 door 95 with 1.3 and 5 speed ; the grease seal was a odd ball size ( bigger than what the parts store tryed to sell me. I surmised the 95 was a transition year. So 96 and newer may be same but 95 may be different. Make sure the bearing and seal diameters are the same size.....
