So i met up the guy and had a officer waiting across the street. Met the dude up and talked to him about the oakleys and had the officer pull up a minute after. the officer was a smart guy. They look like my glasses but I cannot remember what scratches mine had on them. I had a couple, but I cannot remember clearly becuase these have been sitting in my visor for a while becuase it being unclear skys. I want to be sure because if these are not I don't want a innocent guy going to jail. The guy has prior convictions though. The major problem is that sunglasses don't have serial numbers. SO, I have to be 100 percent sure that these are mine. I am digging through my pictures to see if I took a picture with these in them for reference so I can make sure that I can prove that they are mine. Because of the guys prior convictions if he is innocent and I say they are mine, he will be marked up on a felony and will go to jail for possession of stolen property (while on parole is a felony) because he is on parole . I really hope I can find a picture of these. I NEED TO MAKE SURE. |

The car was recovered and everything inside was missing. It isn't about the car per say, just what is in it. Like breaking into a house. You don't steal the house! |

It's not people that I hate, it's what they do. Parents, yes, my parents, still loved me even when I screwed up. I gained a different perspective last century when I realized that human beings are not born evil, it's an acquired skill. Babies are innocent blank slates. Trees that grow in the direction they are cultivated, so to speak. As the quip goes, being a product, their environment includes society, education, friends and parents, and the attitudes and morals of all of those elements. Anyway, it takes a little practice to not think badly of a person just because they act badly. But don't be mislead if a person is habitual and don't let them think you are not aware of their actions. That would be unjust. "Rejoice not in the things ye possess; tonight they are yours, tomorrow others will possess them." |

What about printing the inside of the car to see if they match the bad guys prints? |

Let me know if they're willing to do that. Our cops can't even be bothered to come out and take pics or a statement or anything when my cars get broken in to. Someone needs to remind me why I'm paying taxes. |

ouch man. glad you got the ride back but damn man never keep anything valuable in a metro/swift. they are almost easier to get into with a slimjim than with the original key. seriously. crazy easy to break into. hell the god damned auto locks kicked in when I was walking back to the running car. Grrr I heard the damned click and just groaned. I pulled the edge of the door shoved a rebar rod in their and flipped the lock open in about 15 seconds. scary easy. I lost my GPS buddies (they shut down the service) so no more lojack for my rides but I have a possible new solution in the works using freedom pop phones :-) more later if it works. They only finger print a car if there is a conviction. I'm just gonna ask all the Crack houses I deliver pizza to and see if any of them heard about anything like mine popping up. |

They took a statement and a list of stuff stolen but they don't do the rest of that unless there was a gun or something like that stolen. They also need a conviction to fingerprint. I asked three officers. |
