Super low miles 1998 3/5

I just picked this up tonight, so no pictures yet. A wheeler dealer buddy of mine called me up this afternoon and asked if I might be interested in buying a Metro that he got from an estate sale, and I told him "probably not, I already have more than a dozen." He then told me that it only had 29,000 miles on it, but that it was just a stick shift, and of course, I said "I am on my way, I'll be right there." It sat out in the weather, so it is deteriated like any other Metro, and the headliner fabric was gone, but sure enough, less than 30k on the clock. The carfax and paperwork backed it up, so I forked over some loot and drove it back to my shop. It looks remarkable under the hood, kinda like a time capsule. I don't know what I am going to do with it yet, since it was an impulse buy, but I will snap a few pics to post here sometime in the next few days.

Here is the CA frame horn shot to tease you guys back east in the snow belt. To me, it looks the same as all the frame horns that I see here in CA.

1500. That is more than I have ever paid for a used Metro. I usually start with junky Metros that I get for under 500, so this was a big chunk to for me to pay.

Yea, this makes me official now for the red white n blue. I took a red white n blue picture here awhile back with a red Metro that belonged to another GMF member, but this is the first time that I have owned red white n blue at the same time. Can't remember which member's red Metro was in the pic, but I know it was not Calrunman, since it was pouring rain when he was here.

You can't see the spot welds on a Ohio frame horn the corrosion just swells up that ridge around the bottom. That picture almost looks fake it's so clean.
