Just saw on the news, gas for 47 cents a gal. Yeah, you read that right, 47 cents. Houghton Lake MI. Three stations there under a dollar. Cops were having to direct traffic because of the backup. I thought I did good @ $1.50 earlier today. :banghead

Iran was just let into the oil game, the Saudis are punishing Russia and trying to drive the US drillers out of business. It's a war, and it's gonna get cheaper still. Some North Dakota sour crude is selling for -$0.50 a barrel.

Yep, that's right. NEGATIVE fifty cents a barrel. Drillers have to pay to have it picked up!

There are only so many places to store the stuff, and once that capacity has been reached any additional oil brought out of the ground has to be sold...cheap.

A few years ago there was a LOT of money to be made there. I thought about it as well. Just go over there for a year or two and make enough to pay off my house.

Hmmm, Houghton is just up the road a piece from me. Haven't heard about it. I think it is a publicity stunt.

Michigan is generally 10-15 cents difference from Wisconsin, due to state tax differences. we are at $1.75 +/- a few cents.

I have a couple guys I work with who live in Baraga and L'ance, so I can find out .

OOPS, Houghton lake is on the other side of the pond. that price is artificially low "due to gas wars between three stations".

gas tracker puts all other stations in the area around $1.80 +/-.

Well, $1 CAD = $0.6903 USD, times 3.78541 gallons/liter, that's $2.61 a gallon. Hey, you're still doing better than Murf. :thumb

I'm surprised the value of our dollar hasn't driven the cost of gas UP. It's killing me elsewhere, that's for sure... :shake
