Fastest Hampster EVER

What I am interested in is how you folks in the Tennessee Valley and up the East coast are fairing in this "horrible" winter weather snow storm. Anybody been stuck in traffic for hours? Can you get around in your vehicle? Just wondering.

About 6" here with a sleet crust on top, expecting another 6" today. It's a mile from the house to the county road which drifts heavily so the Suburban has been placed into service.

If Washington DC was in chaos with less than an inch of snow (Midwesterners insert guffaws and belly laughs here... :lol :lol :lol ) then they will probably descend into the Dark Ages and start eating each other.... :popcorn

I've got about 15" at 8:00 Saturday morning. They're saying maybe as much as a foot more.

Drove around the block in Sherry's Aerio last night and it was treacherous. Either particularly slippery snow or the tires on her car are just crap. They're pretty big (235mm) for such a small car, so maybe that's it. I've got 255's on the Kizashi, so it's probably no better.

i have fat 285 width tires on the back of my rear drive slk230. they do not give me a warm, fuzzy feeling with just a dusting of snow on the roads. all the anti skid, anti lock, anti slip lights flash non-stop when i drive on snow. ;)

Politicians, first! Heck, I'll even supply the fava beans and a nice Chianti. There's never a plane-load of Uruguayan rugby players around when ya need 'em. :shake

So far, here in the foothills of North Carolina, we've only gotten about 6"-7"; which is far short of the, near epoch, 12"-20", that had been predicted earlier. Hmmph! Guess I won't get to put the Sidekick, with it's, hurriedly installed just for the occasion, new shoes, to a Real® test!

It got BAAAD here yesterday! Well, bad for TN. They sent everyone home from work yesterday morning and for the first time it was rough getting home in the Metro. Took me three tries to get up a small hill in my neighborhood! :O Crazy stuff to us rednecks. :lol I didn't get "the bread and milk" and I'm out of firewood but I think we will survive. I hate Winter but I'm okay with getting sent home from work to play in the snow. :banana :banana :banana

Weather people said we would get 1.5 to 2 inches but as everybody knows they (weather people) lie. Road are patches ow ice and a dusting of snow.
We have no trouble getting around just have to drive carefully. It is cold 12 last night and 35 for a hi today.

17.5 inches right now and steady getting it. Started at 11:30 am yesterday and hasn't stopped. This is the tinest snow (flakes) I've seen in a long time. Can't imagine how much we'd have by now, with the usual sized flakes. Some people were stuck in the DC traffic for 8+ hrs the other night. Problem wasn't the 1 inch of snow, it was that it all turned to ice, and the roads weren't pre treated like normal. Plus a couple of people in the crowd just didn't know how to drive.
