One of the ugliest body kits ever made and very difficult to make them fit well.

Those 12" steelies and rattle-can paint job aren't doing it any favors. He doesn't even have the car registered: look at the temporary tag. And it's an automatic. :rasp $3,200? :rofl

Just logged in to say that that's some ugly sh^t right there but I see you guys beat me to it :rocker

Now that the metros are classic in their own right - a great snapshot of 1990s cars - I don't see the attraction of fast-n-furious body kits and treatments. It is 2016 and time to move on. Of course it doesn't help that the kits are never done well. This mook at least painted/plasti-dipped the car (poorly) and body kit to match. Most don't even do that.

I didn't notice that! Those side lamps are all wrong. He must have cut the fenders to get them to fit.

I guess they were the closest he could find to real Swift headlights.

thanks for that correction, b. ;)

the corolla light mod was not a bolt in deal. there were several aspects of their fitment that required detailed sheet steel alterations and this car appears to have had all the details sorted.

as i recall from the mid 2000 years the veilside kits were coming from australia. when i priced them back then they were $3000 to $3500 depending on the rear spoiler style and freight from down under was around $1500 to san francisco and then plus truck freight to the final destination.

so, whatever opinions everyone has on the appearance on this particular car and the veilside body kit, this car was pretty well done. the picture composition and angles make the car uglier than it probably is in real life.

personally, the 3 banger, automatic, and price would never suit me. there was another hatchback, silver with a veilside kit in dayton oh a while back that had frame rot but was priced at $1100 that i passed on. if i could find a veilside kit that was in great condition and priced around $500 i'd give it a whirl. ;)
