Not so fast

$5,000 for the body kit before install?? :holycrap Somebody really loved this car, once. I'm willing to bet it's not the guy who owns the car now, though. The window tint's crap. The paint's crap. The side mirror and hubcaps fell off sometime between the first and second picture. The registration has lapsed. This car's been through the hands of at least one person, probably several, who really didn't give a :shit .

thanks for that correction, b. ;)

the corolla light mod was not a bolt in deal. there were several aspects of their fitment that required detailed sheet steel alterations and this car appears to have had all the details sorted.

as i recall from the mid 2000 years the veilside kits were coming from australia. when i priced them back then they were $3000 to $3500 depending on the rear spoiler style and freight from down under was around $1500 to san francisco and then plus truck freight to the final destination.

so, whatever opinions everyone has on the appearance on this particular car and the veilside body kit, this car was pretty well done. the picture composition and angles make the car uglier than it probably is in real life.

personally, the 3 banger, automatic, and price would never suit me. there was another hatchback, silver with a veilside kit in dayton oh a while back that had frame rot but was priced at $1100 that i passed on. if i could find a veilside kit that was in great condition and priced around $500 i'd give it a whirl. ;)
I'm with you too. If I found one with excellent condition kit installed I would go for it. I would pay 4500 if it was on a clean nice running gti.
