I have been wanting to change out my shocks/springs, and have been considering lifting my car a little, not worried about a lot. I know lifting it to much would put the cv axles at a bad angle. That being said, what would make this possible without interferring with the cv axle? is it possible just to replace the stock springs with ones that are a little larger?

97 1.3L auto, 2 dr hatch

I work on a construction site and can use all the clearance I can get. (plus I am looking to purchase new wheels/tires that are a little larger than my stockies.

You could probably gain half and inch from stiffer springs and half an inch from taller tires without causing any major geometry problems. With an automatic, the gearing change wouldn't be a problem, it's going to cost you in acceleration, but the reduced RPM at speed would be welcome.

The problem is going to be finding these springs, no one makes such a thing. It's going to be rooting around in a junkyard trying to find slightly larger cars which use springs of the same diameter. You might start with the Esteem or Aerio as they're also Suzukis so coming from the same designers. Maybe you could fabricate some blocks to put on the top or bottom of your springs you already have, that way the spring rate would match the weight of the car.
