Alright so I took my 1991 metro to have a passenger side wheel bearing replaced since I didn't have a press to do it with. Well I got it back today and they said the wheel hub was bad as well. They said that when the bearing went in it mad e the wheel hub worse?? My question is this possible or did they put it back together wrong or what. Like I said it's probably 10x worse than it was before. I just want to make sure I'm not getting screwed over. |

You are being screwed. I would get that wheel bearing fixed right away, since they may have put it together wrong, making a safety hazard. That bearing should sound like a new car. |

So if I take it back or take it somewhere else and have it put back together correctly will it be ok then? |

If the hub and spindle are bad they simply should not use those parts. If they put it back together and sent you on your way that is pretty shitty, and they can be liable if anything additional were to happen. They also need to replace the hub, spindle and bearing now for just the price of the hub and spindle no labor or no charge for brand new bearing. |

You can tell almost immediately that the hub is bad before reassembly. I couldn't see how they would put it back together like that. My guess as stated by others is that they may have damaged something in the process or left out something (the spacer being the usual suspect). |
