Out of focus it was...YouTube didn't work as well as I had hoped. I also included a link on one of my posts to some photo bucket pics that are better.

When I was a new driver, I called dozens of driving schools, and the majority of them said they won't even bother to teach anyone on a stick. The few that would did not have one on hand, and they said that you would have to supply your own car.

I don't really know how to drive an auto, I have driven an auto possibly 5000 total miles of my like and a manual being the other 650000 when I have a bad habit of forgetting that there is no clutch and accidentally smashing the super wide brake where the clutch WOULD be, or I forget and go to grab a shifter that is not there, or i do other dumb things that are not needed in an auto :smackface i am bad at driving automatic cars

I don't find myself going for the clutch or the shifter in an auto...the engine doesn't bog, and it shifts before it revs up too much, so it never activates my clutch/shifting urges.

I recall going for the clutch a couple of times when first driving an automatic, when coming to a stop. slamming your foot down on the floorboard/firewall a couple of times hard with no resistance was enough to stop that habit!

I think that is the best theory so far for why so many rust belt Metros/Swifts have holes forming in the left side of the driver side foot well. I always thought it was from salt spray and corrosion!

Yeah...but they do it when they're climbing a hill and losing speed, getting angry, no matter what gear they're in...

Getting re-adjusted to driving my automatic HHR after driving the Metro for months was frustrating.
