https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bv2vT665bGI Seems to be a good way to make fire as long as you live in the tropics and have some bits and pieces in your pockets. |

So let me get this straight. If ever I have the forethought to "pack accordingly" for the eventuality of being stranded in some remote area, one where I'm in desperate need of fire, ALL I have to do is, have with me: 1 fresh lemon; 6 copper clips; 6 zinc nails; several pieces of wire; some toilet paper for kindling, and I'm all, MacGyver, eat your heart out, set, is that right? Or, I can simply carry a fucking box of these?

Very cool. I think it would be easier to carry a Bic lighter. |

I'd sooner carry a Survivor contestant around with me in my fanny pack. |

I once saw Bear Grylls do something just like that! He was stranded on a subway platform, blocks from the nearest convenience store, but was able to get himself out of a tight spot, by employing a fresh lemon, some loose coinage pilfered from a blind man's tin cup, and a couple other scavenged metallic objects, in order to make a low voltage battery, which he then used to fire up his e-cigarette and get a few more puffs off of it. "And so you see, Children, it pays to, not only be resourceful, but PREPARED, too! Always, always, carry a spare battery with you, for your vaping pipe. And for next week's lesson, we'll be teaching you how to make an emergency batch of e-juice, using a fresh lemon and some of your own urine. You don't want to miss that!" |

Video is cool as hell! ![]() While I may not have a pocket full of pretty nails out in the wild, I bet I could come up with something to make this work if I had to. Great video, but I like this one better: Cave Johnson-Lemons! |
