Anyone near Xenia Ohio with a 95 and up Metro?; That also wants new carpet and is willing to be a Guinea pig?

Here is the deal, I contacted an eBay seller who sells formed carpet for the earlier models. I asked if he had ever had someone try to install the earlier carpet in a 95 up, and he said no, but he would refund the purchase price if it didn't fit as long as it wasn't cut or damaged. Of course you would have to pay return shipping, hence living close to where the company is.

So if you have wanted to put new carpet in your 95 and up Metro, $145 sounds like a reasonable price, you want a standard color (his requirement), and you're willing to be a Guinea pig for the rest of us, let me know and I will get it set up.

it should work.

just a thought, rather than risking return shipping, just look at p/n from a supplier who offers both, or try a used one. overlay one on the other.

I will be looking for a new carpet for the vert, but its 92.

Yeah honestly if I wanted to know I'd go to the junkyard... Pull seats and swap carpets in a couple of their cars... :)

Best FREE way to check it out. Sorry, may not be free. My local yard charges $1 to get in...

I took my carpet out and after a thorough scrub with soap and water (and drying in the sun) I used spray dye on my '94. It turned out almost like NEW, 4 cans will do it, 3 will be short. Any of the below options should work:

Well, if you put some carpet glue over the worn spot, razor blade some material from another good spot over the worn area, wait a bit; it may turn out fine (if the worn area isn't too large, which it usually is unfortunately).

This is an attempt to provide a source for new carpet for all those people who post asking about where they can find new carpet, not a search for the cheapest chewing gum, superglue, duct tape, and rattle can solution.
