Fastest Hampster EVER

Ever watch a video and the guy in it says what is truly on his mind and doesn't care about the consequences? Well, this former drill sergeant does just that.

You might have to scroll down for the video and it is six minutes long. The first minute is kind of dull, but he sure does get worked up after that and tells exactly what is wrong with the leadership of the Army.

Oh, by the way, I didn't work on my metro today. The wife forced me to work in her flower garden.

She sounds like a great drill sergeant!

The story starts by blaming Obama for military spending cuts. It ends by claiming the next president will rebuild the military.

Here is an interesting counter point: http://pastspeaks.com/tag/military-spending-as-a-percentage-of-gdp/

The bulk of the story seems to be about how the military has become politically correct, where personnel spend their time in meetings instead of kicking ass. I was in the Navy 30 years ago & that is my recollection. So I don't think anything has changed in 30 years. I remember having to go to training about alcoholism, so we could seek counseling if we thought we were alcoholics. I remember the line " if you have to drink at a party to have a good time, you might be an alcoholic". Nothing new. Whenever a young person asks me if they should join the military I tell them being in the military is not like what they see in the movies. Working for the military is like working for the biggest corporation in the world. If you need a job, or want to see the world, or just get the hell out of town, go for it. But it's just another corporate job. There is very little ass kicking.

The goal is to deter aggression, not so much to send little Timmy and his brothers into combat.

That old saying about how when there is lead in the air there is hope in the heart is usually not true. Usually people are scared shitless, taking casualties, watching their brothers get torn up and killed. Basically what led to the saying," War IS hell."

Maybe it should be a law that when a politician votes to send troops to war, their kids must go to war too.
