That's no joke, used to visit my friends up there often and I was always amazed at the speed and density that moss / mold etc. takes over everything. Gorgeous country though

In my area no rusty frame horns but don't leave your car sit for more than a week or you will have a bees nest started in it. Worse some months than others.

I think I d take bees over the hundred some odd black widows I found in the last car I bought that was sitting for years....... :x
that seems to be the big hallmark of sac valley parked cars.

Black widows are everywhere where I live (San Fernando Valley). One house I lived in, if you go out at night, you could see them build webs along the base of any wall. Then in daylight they disappear. I remember there was a big one living in a cranny in my nieces big wheel. So I removed it and killed it. But most of the time I just leave them alone.

Wasp nests are a problem. Open your gas grill lid and there is one started. Open the gas fill flap of your metro and there is one. I guess that is a problem when you don't have to put gas in your car very often.

MICE were the big issue around my place for a while. One of my trucks wouldn't start one day. Then the other one had zero oil pressure on the gauge although the engine was running smooth as silk. I pulled over, opened the hood, and found 100lbs of sticks and trash in there. Basically the mice were eating my cars alive. I had quite a lot of wiring to repair.

Then I got kitty cats and started finding dead animals around my front door but the cars always start!

Same here. If something doesn't move enough then the fauna attempts to take it back to the earth.

Yuck! Then again, it's a lot better than rust. You guys don't really see much salt or rust, huh? I've never traveled west of Ohio. :P

Not so fast

They do not salt the roads up there. Chain up & deal with it. :rasp

We don't have to deal with any of the things mentioned down here in the desert, but the sun makes short work of our paint and plastic. Parts of my hood and roof are down to primer and even bare metal in places.

I wish they didn't salt Ohio! At least you don't have to worry much about rust, even once you hit bare metal. :lol
