Something looks different in both of the pics associated with the ad. I just cannot put my finger on it though. Also, can somebody please interpret the written part of the ad since I don't speak or read.....idiot!! :die

Not so fast

Here's my interpretation.

-The battery has a disagreement with the badwiring. Due to a court summons, it will not be included with the car.
-The badwiring is also having issues with the cartransmission and motor. Nothing works except the radio, which is why it will not be included in the sale.
-It was wrecked and the motor blew up
-He will trade it for an ATV, a trailer, or probably beer, guns and ammo too.

My interpretation: The battery is not charging. The battery is not included in the sale ( I assume he bought a new one & wants to keep it). The engine is "new" because the previous one died. But the tranny & motor are bad, which he thinks it is due to bad wiring. He is also keeping the stereo. And from the pics it looks like he is also keeping the nice wheels. There is also a problem with run on sentences.

I'm totally awesome! I swear.

I don't think the hoopty donk wheels are actually mounted on the car, in that one pic, they're just "mocked up" in front of the ones that are on the car.

But on a refreshing note, at least they didn't say the want to "sale it".

There is also no phone number to contact the person. That alone would have been a good reason not to respond but the rest just tops it off. For some reason if they don't have a phone number posted, they never reply. If you think CL is bad, try Facebook as it is actually MUCH WORSE! Most on CL don't actually seem all that bad except when you stumble into the sex section, then it becomes really freaky!

I think Jefro needs to put down the crack pipe, and get back in touch with reality. You're looking at $100-150 scrap pile. Strickly for parts. Wonder if the inside looks just as bad? :shake

I just realized this guy is in Missouri not all that far from me. Now you understand where all the stories come from!

It would be interesting to see how he defines the word "new". Does it mean "brand new, unused, zero miles", or does it mean "my cousin's girlfriend's brother ran this thing until the car died, then my buddy put the engine in his hoopty for 65k more, then it sat under a tarp on a pallet by the garage a couple/three years until I got it and put it in an engine room that it had never seen before"?

Just have to imagine it with punctuation and capitalization in the right places, then fill in the rest of the sentences they shortened for brevity.

I have a 97 Geo Metro hatchback just like it says in the title.

Summons wiring is having issues. Seems like someone is always having wiring issues around here, but mine is mostly good.

To keep the battery charged battery will not go with it the cartransmission because everytime I go to that cartransmission place, Summons messes with my battery. So I take the battery out and put one in from one of the 12 cars in my neighbor's yard.

And motor still badwiring tjust has a problem but mostly the wiring system is bad (that means good down here) with only one little problem.

The car will not have a stereo either , but it still has the radio that came with it, just never got one of those things that plays records.

The body is a little, I beat uparound 143xxx miles but it has more than 143xxx miles on it now, and I don't beat it up anymore so it's good now.

Has prior salvage title also but I got my buddy to print up a new regular title and you can have that too.

Previous motor blown but had a new one , that motor blown too when I was beat it uparound 143xxx miles. New one ran like a purring kitten licking tuna off the dishes in the sink though 'til I trade that one for the new title from Bubba.

Has a lot of new parts on the front seat. I got a new handle for the toilet that's out in my back yard, some new parts for the stove that's sitting out front, and a part of a new squirrel I got me the other day, but I'll move all those to the back before drive it home.

Will trade for another car or racing quad because with a racing quad I an get to the store to buy beer faster,

or for a trailer. Mine's so messy I can't get to the fridge to get more beer and the rest of that other part of the new squirrel.
