The Deltawing straight-up stole all kinds of ideas from this. What you can't see is the complicated adjustable aerodynamic under body tunnel it pioneered. Even the guy's hat is in a teardrop configuration.

Probably. That blue bar in front of the tire is your brake. Pull up on a lever, inside the cabin, and that bar presses against the tread of the tire and, eventually, brings you to a stop.
