https://mobiloil.com/en/promotion/mobil-promotions/up-to-15-dollars-off-with-mobil-1-and-mobil-super http://www.pennzoil.com/promotions-national-rebate/ I figure some here might want to take advantage of these. I maxed out my Mobil 1 allotment today. Anyone have an opinion on the Pennzoil Platinum products? Conor |

Cool... Too bad Walmart isn't on the list - the price of Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy 0W-30 at a Walmart near here is the same price as getting the oil at a parts store after the rebate. I was pretty stoked thinking I was going to get a couple of 5qt bottles for $20.

Walmart worked for me 3 times for Mobil. That list is not all inclusive. I did the online and got rebate in 3 weeks. |

I did this at Wallmart last year and they honored it. |

I read on a couple other forums that the rebate works fine at Wal-Mart. I hope so as this is where I bought my oil. It does seem odd that the world's largest retailer isn't mentioned on that list though. I have also noticed that the price of the oil at Wal-Mart is about what it would cost if you bought it at a parts store minus the rebate. Synthetic oil is so cheap at Wal-Mart. People who complain about the high price are paying less than $10 more (sometimes less than $5) for synthetic rather than conventional oil so skimping really doesn't make much sense. It might make sense to skimp when buying oil at a parts store, except during sales, but not Wal-Mart. The oil is the same stuff at Wal-Mart, not a downgraded version like many items they sell. I think part of the deal has to do with the 5 quart packaging. Conor |
