Do you have a 3D printer? And are making your own? What is the coolest thing you've made?

I can PROBABLY print pretty much anything small but as of now only in PLA which is not nearly as tough as nylon!! $23 is pretty damned cheap probably close to what I would charge and their printers are probably better than anything I can afford. the filament would probably be $5 to $8 to print that figuring it takes 2 or 3 prints to get it right maybe more and then you have time. probably 6-8 HOURS EACH plus prep and finish time. with my work schedule making one of those would consume 3 days or printer time assuming it got it right in 3 tries and each one after that a day of printer time (since I will be at work I won't be able to restart the printer to print another till get home. actually on second thought that thing is really small (I was assuming 8 inches or so for some reason its barely over 1.5 inches) I could probably do them for $10 a pop ASSUMING I can do them at all (I have not printed anything but PLA for now) but for a one off here and there. should not be a problem. I might be able to print in nylon with the new printer I have coming in but its still an unknown right now as I don't have it yet. I can do other colors for the key fob and I plan to change it to GEO or I can put the chevy logo back on ( personally wanted the chevy logo gone) maybe the Suzuki logo? not sure have not tried. custom orders will be limited as I will only have one or two printers at most IF makerbot fixes m mini. that means only 2 to 4 parts a day and I Have a lot of personal and rocketry parts to print :-) Edited by nerys, Apr 26 2016, 06:59 PM.

Suzuki logo in the middle! Geo but at heart, it's a Suzuki! Might be a little difficult considering the orientation of the space for the logo is designed for a rectangular setup, not the more square stylized 'S'.

well I got the maker select up and running tonight. Printing an J1772 dummy socket wall mount for my electric car to see how it goes. I have some petg g I have been dying to play with but got to get it dialed in right with PLA first before I use the more expensive stuff. putting the suzuki logo in the middle should not be too hard. also a version with GEO should be easy enough to run up once I have some time. 68custom send me that STL file so I can play with it and see if this thing can even print it properly in PLA to begin with.
