So I'm considering ditching my G10 swap idea...someone has offered me a G13B-equipped metro. It has an automatic tranny, which I don't dig, but maybe then the missus will drive the buggy. Who knows. What all do I need to be sure of grabbing to make the engine run? I plan on trying to gut the engine bay. From the cabin do I need anything other than the ECM? Are there any modules/gadgets in the dash required? |

Axles, motor and tranny mounts, shifter assembly, engine wiring harness and ECU, exhaust system, air cleaner assembly. If it's a twin cam think you need fuel pump also. The 3 cyl manual tranny will bolt to it but isn't quite as strong and has 1 less bolt holding them together. If you stick with the automatic will also need the radiator and additional wiring and will have to do some cutting and welding for the auto tranny mounts. Will probably also have to swap dash harness to get the automatic harness and shift control module |

Then you will still have a small brake pedal and an extra pedal that don't do nuthin..... I would keep the stick and just trade out the engines... Are they both OBD2 compliant? ie '96 and later. Or '95 and earlier Might have to find a 4 cyl. 5 speed, PCM/ECM. |

It's going into a F8B powered mini buggy...unless the 4-speed manual from the F8 will bolt to the G13B then I don't have a manual to play with. I'm interested in the automatic, though, because with it the missus might take more interest in it. I didn't even think about it possibly being OBDII. Build date was 08/95. If it's OBDII then I basically need every damn thing... |
