MK1 1988 suspension parts; ISO new stabilizer bushings

jack of all trades, master of two

so, I have been coming to dead ends while looking for parts. some part #s are good, but no stock, others are discontinued :shake
rockauto lists shocks/ struts, but I am trying locally, to try and avoid shipping/ duties......but if I have too..... :shake

I actually ordered new hatch struts/ lift supports, from gm, only $30 each! :rocker nobody else had them, I was told by many they were discontinued/nla :-/

engine parts are fairly easy to find, and thank god the carb is working properly B-)

it needs all new shocks/ struts. will do ball joints (lower control arms) as well-BUT-
I cannot find a source for the stabilizer bushings. the small ones at the front I could most likely find, with some measuring and cross-searching....but the larger ones in the lower control arms are nla wherever I look- nothing seems to cross to this car. :banghead

I also could not find a blower motor resistor, but after lots of internet searching, I found 2 that were close, one from a ford, the other from a Honda :ashamed :-/
just wondering if any other mk1 owners have found suitable replacements for these bushings. :hmm

What about the aftermarket poly units? May have to see what fits by measuring/comparing to their charts. Could find oem interchange bushings using their charts if you didn't like poly. Haven't seen mk1 around here for ages.

Have not replaced mine so far, although they look terrible... so if you do find ones that work I would be interested to know!
