I understood that MK4/5 control arm is longer than MK2/3 so my question, is it possible to use mk4/5 control on mk2/3 car and then alignment? It would be more negative camber if it uses stock mk2/3 strut+spring since MK4/5 has longer strut/spring. Thanks PS. of course don't forget about CV axles |

teamswift topic MK4/5 LCA on MK3 Check if some control arm mount studs may also be a larger diameter on MK5 than on MK3. Edited by suzukitom, Jul 19 2016, 01:01 AM.

Like tom said the mk4/5 front control arm mount is a larger diameter. the bushings may be able to be swapped out or just get the mounting bracket to match the arms. I ran gt axles in my old 01 twin cam swapped car and never had any issues. I want to try the same thing again once I get my coilovers and camber plates done |
