Car is in time, injector isnt leaking, egr port has been cleaned like 7000 miles ago. Use full synthetic oil with 15k extended performance oil filter, oil looks brand new, all hoses are connected, car runs perfect when accelerating, just idling low, its already advanced to 8 BTDC confirmed with timing light. Or i might of set it to 7.5... its somewhere in there did it a few months ago... anyways i know when i start the car i have to turn the headlights on and press the gas pedal to the floor two times and it will idle up like it should (i do this before turning the key so it makes the dumb ISCM work lol) so i am guessing either this is the issue and i need to find another one, or maybe u all have better ideas... anyways i should also note the car did not have the issue before i put the air dam on the car... i meticulously watch the temperature gauge, and it has never went past 5/8ths, (does VERY RARELY go past halfway to about 5/8 but goes right back down. Never has went 3/4 cuz if it ever does im turning the car off but im assuming this is cuz it is 95 and 100 outside this whole week... anyways nothing seems to be getting hot, and i should also note it did it after getting off the interstate but when i drove it back home (an hour and 15 mins) probably 60 miles, when i came to a stop it was idling fine and still did all the way home... so it doesnt do it all the time, i really think its the ISCM but again i feel better coming to the gurus here to ask you all ^. I should also mention its more like a miss rough idle or something Edited by Brandon8791, Aug 17 2016, 03:31 PM.

What RPM are you talking? Have you done the basics, tune up stuff, fuel filter, check plugs and ignition wires? Do you have access to a shop manual to trouble shoot ISCM? |

I checked the wires, havnt pulled the plugs again but they looked almost new like 7000ish miles ago? Havnt changed the fuel filter i dont think the 2000s had one, dont have a tach so not a clue what the rpm was but it was enough to shake the whole car and flicker low oil pressure i could give it a little bit of gas and it not have one issue at all, again i drove it home perfectly fine, and then it acted normal and even acted normal this morning ^.^ thanks 4 the reply

Sounds like an electrical problem. Have you checked the vacuum with a T fitting at the map sensor and done a compression test? |

I havnt done either recently... i did the compression test back when i checked the plugs n put new oil in, so about 5000-8000 miles ago and the compression was around 170-175 all across the board... i continiously get 48-53mpg every tank depending on how i drive it but since the air dam ibe filled it up 3 times n been above 50 |

Check throttle plate. Check for proper gap and slight sticking. Lubricate linkage. Have a nice clean air cleaner in it? Good exhaust flow? Clean your ground cable on both ends. That could cause your idle speed motor to act up. |

Just $ $.02 "TPS" your CPU is getting a throttle off idle signal and enriching the mixture... Prob. just an adjustment several links on here about it... |

I think its the ISCM I havnt did any test on it but It has started holding a higher idle than normal like giving itself gas, and thats sorta making me alittle mad, -.- but it is what it is i guess Edit: It also doesnt require me to turn the headlights on and floor it 2 times to make the ISCM work now either... its like it halfway tried to fix itself but messed up in the process lol, and I don't know if it matters or would affect it, but someone did the delete to make the ebrake stay on constantly on the dash light to make the DTRL not come on, which i like honestly Edited by Brandon8791, Aug 18 2016, 08:39 PM.

They get sticky. They can be opened up and lubricated. |

Yeah im 99% sure it's the ISC motor, I just turn my headlights on and floor it 2 times before I start it with the key turned to the on position. Been working great for the past few months lol so I'll keep doing that til that stops working |
