Quarantine last night........about a 8/10,was first horror movie in a long time that actually made me jump, the camera view takes a bit of getting used to,basically a reporter and her cameraman get stuck in a building that is locked off, they end up being trapped, and trying to escape while battling the evil that lurks within.the entire movie is shot from the cameraman for the reporters perspective, all a steady shot with very few angle changes....if ya like to jump back in your seat,go see this

I watched Big Dreams Little Tokyo. Its about a guy teaching English in Japan. Pretty funny. Not for everybody but you might want to give it a shot. I lived in Japan for a couple of years (thanks to Uncle Sam). They caught a lot of the little things than are pretty funny. I will talk more on this later but When I was there 66 and 67. I bought a little car called a
suzilight. It was 360 cc 4 speed , Very very small. Looking back and doing a little research, It may have been one of the first Suzuks. It has me thinking anyways. I really like the Metro Forum. :drivin

Don't mess with the Zohan, 8/10,
I like all of Adam Sandlers films (so far) and this is a good one.
Spoofs of the old karate/Chuck Norris stuff and a little potty humor thrown in.
My grandson thought it was funnt but his mom took him home before the end of it. Some of the sex stuff was over his head anyway.

The Love Guru - 5/10

One funny part through the whole movie (when they were changing radio stations) and I was not impressed.

I saw 3 National Lampoon movies and they all sucked..............

National Lampoon's Class Reunion - 3/10 The suckiest of the three.
National Lampoon's Going the Distance - 5/10 Did not suck as bad as above movie did.
National Lampoon's Dorm Daze - 5/10 Had some hotties, so yeah, the story line sucked :)

Another movie night at Casa De La Will

Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull- 8/10 Welcome back Dr. Jones!! Good movie, but looks to be the last, of course The Last Crusade did too.

Journey to the Center of the Earth (the new one)- 5/10 Ok movie, but not worthy of Jules Verne...

Shoot 'Em Up- 10/10 If you like the newer "grunge" style action like Sin City, you will love this one!!

Twilight...

I just got back from the theater where my son works. He can get me free passes to anything and everything I'd like to see. And this, hopefully, is the first of many. I enjoyed the movie and thought it was very well done. My oldest son and daughter felt a little let down because they read the 4 books before the movie came out...isn't that always the way though? Highschool-aged teens is it's targeted audience, but since I enjoy Vampire movies almost as much as Zombie movies, I was apriciative of it's content. I've been a fan of "True Blood" on HBO since it's Premere earlier this year as well...
Two thumbs up.

Just last night, I was invited over to my brother's place for root beer floats and a couple movies (I think the root beer floats idea was influenced by me as an act of civil disobedience, since earlier I mentioned that here in Oregon it is illegal to eat ice cream on Sunday...better call America's Least Wanted.)

Anyway, last night's movies were Vantage Point and Meet Dave.

Vantage Point, I give an 8/10. It was definitely different than your typical suspense type flick what with the unique way the story was presented. Meet Dave, I have to give about a 5 or 6 out of 10. It was amusing, but nothing about it really stood out. Personally, I think the one I inflicted on my brother a few nights earlier was better though... Idiocracy. :)

I watched "I'm Through with White Girls (The Inevitable Undoing of Jay Brooks)" on DirecTV last night and was surprised to see GEO METRO in the movie. It was brief, but was a nice looking 1990ish blue 4-door hatchback. It was a delight for me because I once owned the identical car...same color too.

I'm with you on that one, me and the kids saw it for free because my oldest worked at the movie theater. I still felt ripped!
I normally would consider myself a "Neo" fan, but accepting this role was a huge mistake for him. The old black and white TV version was much better!
