The stock lug nuts for the 10mm studs (stock rims are 12in) will bolt the 13in rims (whose stock lug nuts are 12mm) to the hub. However, if you look closely at the stock lug nuts in the bolt holes, you will see very little stock lug nut material over the bolt holes. The stock lug nuts seat, but look like the rim could be pulled off the hub in any severe turning or impact. The lug nuts referenced can be used on the 10mm studs and are dimensionally larger than the 10mm stock lug nuts. The dimensionally larger lug nuts have a lot more material seating the bolt in the holes as well as a lot more material over the bolt holes. The rim does not look as it can be pulled off the hub. After I bought my 14" rims I realized why the old nuts are unsuitable. Since then I've found the following gorilla part #'s should work: (all are M10x1.25) 40018, 3/4" hex w/bulge, open end 71118, 13/16" hex closed acorn 41118, 3/4" w/bulge, closed end locally I can only get the 71118, which sells for $1.46 ea. |

Those are the part #s for "bulge" lug nuts made by Gorilla. Fireball 89 explained it a couple posts up. 12" rim Metros (89-94) use 10mm wheel studs. 13" rim Metros (95+) use 12mm studs. When you put 13" Metro rims on a Metro with 10mm studs, the 10mm lug nuts don't fill the larger seating area of the 13" rim very well (because the hole in the rim is bigger). So they make 10mm lugs with a wider conical seat area to take care of this. I don't know where to get them locally, but if you google Gorilla and one of the part numbers you'll find online retailers. But I would think that the Metro in the junkyard has correct fitting lugs on it already. |

Hey nerys- Best bet maybe to visit Wikipedia (search Geo Metro, Acura Legend, Mitsubishi Mirage, Nissan Sentra) or other dedicated vehicle websites/forums for pictures of the rims. I'm sure all the steel rims will have manufacture's hubcaps on them. Once long ago I did come across a wheel recycler's website that had pictures of the stock steel and alloy wheels he was selling. This was about three years ago and unfortunately no pictures of the specific wheels I was searching for. That maybe a possible source as well. I believe his was listed by manufacturer then by model. Other wheel websites toss around the manufacture's casting numbers and I had no clue what they were referring to. Edward |

If you're looking for rims at a junkyard, just bring a tape measure to check if it will work. The rim needs to be 4 bolt and has to measure 4.5" from the center of one bolt hole, across the center of the wheel to the center of another bolt hole. |
