Looks like the only 14x6 wheels were the 92-95 Hyundai Elantra, these would be a great size I have three 13" steelies on mine now (one 12" spare) and i'd like to find tires on the same height so the speedo stays the same and the sidewall is shorter for better handling, and wheels that wide and with a slightly shorter sidewall would be able to keep this car planted, along with new spring/shocks with the spings cut for stiffness and lowering. Or I might forget all that and just cut a half coil off my current springs since they're worn out and I can't afford new ones. |

Yeah, go through that list and throw out anything from a rear wheel drive car, the offset is all wrong. That list is just about bolt pattern, only one criteria which must match. 88Vic, 185/60-14 is a good size for a convertible, 14" wheels came on Suzuki Swifts and Esteems with that size tire. |

If you are looking for a set of 13" rims for your metro, drop Sam a note. I bought (4) more from him a couple months ago and they were in great condition, well-packed, came fast and were affordable. |

I've done some digging (apparently not enough) and I cannot find out what the stock Offset, the weight, and the center bore is on the 13" Metro wheels. Anyone know? |

Nissan 240SX (89-92?) are my "summers" with 205/50-15 tires on front, 195/50-15's on rear. 205's rubbed slightly on the outside so switched 'em to front. Corners real good. Nissan Sentra (03-06) "steelies" with 145/65-15 Blizzaks are "winters". Awesome bite, no clearance problems. |

Hello All, Newbe Here Just joined the site, seems to be a great site. I have a 1992 Metro, am looking at installing larger wheels and tires. I see alot of talk about 13" wheels and tires, has anyone tried 14" wheels and tires???? My reasoning is to raise up the little one t make it easier to get in and out of. also the tire cost should be more reasonable in the long run. Thanks ahead of time Dusty Edited by 21dusty, Mar 14 2010, 01:31 PM.

dusty, im running 15's on my metro and they do ok after i rolled the fenders to clear the wheels. so yes 14's will work. but you have to understand that a lot of times the size of the wheel is not the important part its the overall diameter of the tire and wheel combo that matters in the end. i have a set of 13's 14's and 15's for my metro and the 14's didn't fit because the sidewall on the tire was too high. but i can get different tires with a lower sidewall and it will work.. its on the to do list. i see your in sac as well. haha represent!

I saw that someone asked if Miata wheels will fit. Does anyone know if they will? They have the same bolt pattern I think. The offset is usually around 40mm. They come in 13-15" for the NA and NB models. |

Also, four bolt four-wheeler wheels will fit the bolt pattern. With some of those sick knobby tires you could take the Metro out in the woods!! You could sneak up on all kinds of stuff in her, and get 50 mpg doing it. If you think about it, its way cheaper than a brand new Yamaha... |

I just recently had to replace several studs on a customer car that put some cheap aluminum wheels on his metro. Thicker aluminum casting meant less available thread on the stud, using stock nuts. Stripped the last 1/4 inch of the stud clean. I replaced the studs, got them some different lug nuts, all is well! |

Hopefully someone can help clarify something for me. The list on the 1st page shows that a 1992-84 Eagle- Summit/Summit Wagon or 1993-84 Mitsubishi- Mirage wheels will fit our Metro. I ran across a set of '93 Eagle Summit wheels which are the same as the '93 Mitsubishi Mirage wheels, but found conflicting info on whether or not the '93 Eagle Summit rims are in fact 114mm or 100mm. I found several sources saying one thing & other sources saying another. Does anyone know for SURE? Thanks! Dang! I just called the junkyard & he verified they are in fact 100mm. Johnny, you might want to edit your original post so that it's '92-84 Mitsubishi Mirage. Those are some nice looking rims too:

I thought this might be helpful in this section. I put together a table for comparable tires for a given rim size & let you know whether or not your speedometer would be dead on or a little faster or slower. I only chose tires that would be a close comparison. The top section is for those with stock 12" rims & the bottom section is for those with stock 13" rims. Those tires that will not affect your speedomoter are in BOLD. For example, if I wanted to upgrade from 13" rims to 14" rims, 185/60/14 would not change my speedometer at all. Note, some of these tires may not exist, nor fit a Metro...this is just to give you an idea of what kind of combos are out there that will keep your speedometer stock or as close to stock as possible while improving your style
