My 92 geo metro has been having some odd fuel pump issues lately. I'll cycle the key, and ot will not turn on. Up until recently, if it didnt come on, i could mess with the wiring under the back seat, and that would seem to do the trick, but tonight it didnt seem to change anything. So i jacked the car up and lowered the tank to the ground, and out of curiosity, i wired the fuel pump back up and cycled the key. Boom. Fuel pump kicked right on. I repeated this experiment a couple times, and it worked every time, fully dousing my phone in gas. :smackface anyway, thinking maybe i had knocked something into place, i put the tank halfway into place and tried the key again. Nothing. So i dropped the tank again, tried the key again, and its still working as i sit here playing with it. Anyone have an idea as to whats going on?

Sounds like you may have a bad wire in the harness. Might need to replace the harness from the back seat to the pump.
