It could even be timing incorrect... I see no comments on checking the spark timing. If the woodruff key was not installed it would allow the crankgear to shift even if tight. I had similar condition... it would start and run fine in park or neutral, until I tried to move in gear, then it falls on its face and would not continue. found the keyway destroyed and the crankgear would shift back and forth, so sometimes it would, run others not. |
