Hello, I own a 96 Geo Metro LSI and I am stumped. When I am driving at night, lights on as well as the radio, my car idles okay, not great, but okay, but when I turn the heater fan on full blast to warm up the car, when stopped, the car will bog down. This also happens in the summer when I use the A/C and it is day outside.

Could be your ISC( idle speed control), motors can go bad...... see this topic...... http://geometroforum.com/topic/5312878/1/

Not so fast

The ISC motor is supposed to kick the throttle up enough to compensate when you put a load on the alternator (headlights, radio, blower) or turn on the A/C. If your TPS (throttle position sensor) is out of adjustment, the computer might not think your car is actually in idle, and never activate the ISC. My car was like this. The procedure for checking and adjusting it on a '96 is here:

TPS Report

That procedure only works if your throttle stop screw hasn't been messed with. If somebody moved it, there's no official procedure to reset it. You just have to guess and check until the screw is where it needs to be.
