I think I earlier posted this in the wrong area: '95 metro 3cyl, 1L , manual, 316K miles. When it rains the engine idles very high when I first start it - 2200+ rpm and when the A/C compressor kicks off it idles so high the rev limiter kicks in and it surges/oscillates from 2200-3500+ rpm. But the weirdest part is after it warms up (5-10 minutes of running) if I shut it off and re-start the engine, it runs normal. Has anyone else experienced anything like this or anything similar? |

The next time your idle is where you want it when it's warm, unplug the ISC and just live with the lack of choke when it's cold. Follow the test procedure in the 94 FSM on the forum to try to determine if the ISC is screwed up or if something else is causing it. Or take a shot on a used ISC. |
