My 94 3 cylinder is throwing the following code 51 - EGR System & Recirculated Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Circuit Any suggestions or ideas of what I'm looking for? I'm thinking this weekend I'll start pulling things apart and cleaning out EGR passages. |

that would be a great start-I would remove the egr valve and clean the 2 passages within it and make sure the plunger move in and out-then I would clean the passage from the valve to head and from the valve to the TB before re-installing the valve-finally I would disconnect the exhaust manifold from the head and clean the passage in the head and the small passage in the exhaust manifold-also check your vacume lines and where they connect on the transducer or whatever it's called |

if you have a 6" piece of 1/4" cable, you can chuck it in a drill to get in there. run it forward and in reverse, as the cable freys it will polish the ports. hold the vacuum there close to collect all the carbon. |
