Figured since the main reason I'm looking for one is for my stereo system, that I'd ask here. Does anyone make one for the '92 generation 1.0?

Thanks.

A stock replacement? Nope.

Do a search for a CS130 upgrade and you will find a lot of good info.

There is a kit you can buy. Some lately seem to have an issue getting the order in and getting it delivered. When I bought mine it was around 4 years ago and had no issues.

I put the CS130 in my 92 with on problems. I did run a second charging wire (with fuse) to the battery.

Not much more than stock I'd imagine. Enough to run a possible full amp(4chan/subs) setup and augment with a cap accordingly. Possibly run some auxillary lighting as well. Just don't want to have to invest in a fuse company to justify a good sound system. I will research that CS130 though. Thanks for the info fellas.

I went and read up on the stock alternator. 55 amps sound right?

I like that 144 setup too. I do like the better durability you was talking about there. Usable is good, but immortal is always better.

I gotta ask, how are these things wired in our cars I put in a cs130 with volts jumping from 11.0 to 14.5. Don't know if there's a specific way we're supposed to be wiring these things. I've got a 4 ga charging wire going from the alternator charging post to the (+)battery post and another 4 ga wire going from (-)battery post to transmission lug. The alternator "F&L" wires are hooked up to the two factory wires and the "S" wire is bolted with the other charging wires. Any suggestions/advice?

Here you go:
Red sensor wire goes to black/white and brown regulator wire goes to the white/red chassis wiring

Alright Stubby, it's looking like the colts are still jumping from 12 to 14.5 albeit less frequently. Is this just normal behavior or should volts be static? Thanks.
