Rv alternator. Happy or mad?

The alternator went out on my rv. Of course I'm 40+ miles from home, and pretty deep into nature.
Getting back home was no issue. I us3d my generator to power a 30amp battery charger to recharge the two couch batteries. Then I jumpered the solinoid connecting the 2 coach batteri3s to the truck battery. Now I have 3 batteries for the 33 year old rv with no computers to draw electrical from to get me home......and if they all died, I could still have ran off 5he battery cha4ger.

But this leaves me wondering?...........
Am I disappointed the alternator only lasted 115,000 miles?
Or happy it lasted 33 years?
I can't decided.🤔

I think you should be happy for both! They're both pretty dang good, if you ask me.

Must be alternator season. Mine just we bad Sunday on my 1970 Chevy truck after 28 years and I only had put 12000 miles on it. Now at 71,000 original miles it is shot. Took the original alternator and had it rebuilt instead of getting a cheap aftermarket. Hope I'm good for another 28 years!

Sounds like a nice opportunity for an alternator upgrade...

They make a 300amp alternator that fits.
Stock is 55amp.
