Seems that computers were the driving factor in advancing the car. Computers get better and better by thr day, i bet in 20 more years cars will probably be cloud compute based, where a central hub computer can send updates to cars (all of them) on road conditions, traffic, weather etc. Probably even govern the speed of these cars based on its set parameters for "rain" or something.
