https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Straight-three_engine I was looking here and noticed that there was reference to a Suzuki Wagon R+ with the same 3 cylinder engine as the basic swift and says the displacement is 993 cc so I assume this refers to the G10. Anyone have any knowledge of this more advanced G10? Conor |

The Wagon R used the K10B. The only MPFI G10 s were the turbocharged G10 in the Canadian market 90-91 Chevrolet Sprint/ Pontiac Fireflyand 87-88 Sprint Turbo. |

i can recall several guys who used the mk2 turbo3 intake manifold, fuel rail, turbo3 head, and injectors to build mpfi normally aspirated g10 engines. they reported an increase in low end torque and better fuel economy over the tbi engines. for comparison, the turbo3 injectors are rated at 210 cc. run in batch fire mode the single event injection would be about 2 times the tbi amount. there would be no sequential fire option with the g10 ecu but it would be an option with a megasquirt. the sequential mode injection and reserved tuning would probably get outstanding fuel economy. |

That is interesting. I have never seen an uneven V engine before. I have seen mention of engines that are not inline but not quite a V either. They are basically an inline engine with the cylinders slightly staggered so that more cylinders can fit into the same space without making the engine wider. The angle of the V is so small that these can also share the same head. Conor |

VW's VR6 is such a beast. I like the idea...saves length without making the engine all that much wider. |

It also requires a special plug wire tool and plug wires with the tabs for it to hook on (more money). The plugs are down in the head and can't be reached with normal plug wire tools. The early ones at least had a tool that slipped onto the hood prop like a handle. You popped that off and fed it down the wire onto the plug end, turned it to lock it on, and pulled the wire off. It was kinda slick, but one of those things that gets lost along the way. |
