The world would be a better place if they still made Geo Metros.

I get first dibs on your motor and ECU. B-)

Ok, Alan Akbar. Send me a resume, and personal profile. I want to know your work history, school education and locations, age of yourself and any children, marital status, your level of experience with electricity, automobiles, mechanical fabrication and social status...How many cars have you owned? How many do you own now? do you let friends drive your fleet?
Do you have any tools? Are you currently in debt?? Do you own your home or rent?

If you want money I need assurance that it will be spent appropriately....
Clearly after 3 months and Zero dohations, there is likely a very good reason why people do not willingly give their money away. Perhaps they are spending money on their own electric or gasoline fleet.
PM me if you want... Tell me about yourself and intentions

"Chicks dig me and guys think I'm cool."

We have several members who have converted Geo Metros into electric buggies, and with great success. I suggest you search through this forum, find their pages, and pick their brains a bit. One such member is EVMETRO.

Regarding your GOFUNDME page, how will converting cars into electric make the world "a better place?" Have you conducted research on comparable CO2 emissions from a gas powered ride of a Metro to the production costs of converting the car and the necessary energy it takes to recharge the batteries? Many studies show it to be a wash. Where is your business plan? How many Metros do you currently have access to? Do you have partners? What other attempts at fundraising have you undertaken? Have you brought your own money to the table? A small business loan from the bank? Friends? Family members?

And what about you? How old are you? Are you employed, in school, former military, etc.? Introduce yourself to the forum. Post pictures of what you've got and what you hope to accomplish.

Otherwise, your GOFUNDME page appears to be just another attempt by someone wanting something for nothing.

I'd say that would make it a good candidate for an electric motor, then.

It looks like a Metro XFi in your gofundme picture. If it had the engine and it was running well, then I'd be like, electric? :smackface

The world is a better place BECAUSE of Metros. If you really want to make the world a better place, go electrify a Chevy Suburban or a Hummer.

I just grabbed a random picture off the internet we have a base model but you can electrify a suburban or a hummer they are too heavy thats why they are hybrids not electric

I used to work with a guy who had a Solectria Force. (Metro converted to electric.) Personally, I find electric cars to be a bit odd so I would prefer a regular Metro.

I'm totally awesome! I swear.

I just don't understand why you need, or think you do, $20k, and why it needs to involve a car that, by comparative standards, of most other ICE vehicles on the road, is/was ALREADY part of the energy consumption/carbon footprint solution, rather than the problem? Making the world a better place, as you allege you wish to do, can't be accomplished by tyring to bilk generous souls out of $20k, just so you can retrofit something that was never part of the problem to begin with; you would need to electrify something that gets much worse mpg, and do it for a lot less than $20k. And preferably from your own funds, rather than everyone else's.

Just crack open your piggybank, or raid your college fund, and go buy something like this, if you want an electric car so bad. Then, deovote your time and attentions toward replacing the battery pack, to improve the range and its longevity.

I'm willing to be they'd take $4,500 for it. And if I didn't have a 112 mile daily round trip commute, I'd be seriously tempted to buy it.

If the car is dead in and the engine is sitting in the trunk how is it doing any good
and im not just using this 20k to make one car i'm making a business out of this i get a few hundred dollar cars that have a blown engine no engine or dont run and making them electric i'm keeping cars on the road and keeping the cost to run low while keeping the emissions to a zero im going to do this on multiple cars not just ones that were a solution i'm doing ones that have shit mpg too i just want to start with a non running geo to see how far i can get one on one charge because having a car that was fuel economic will help with the range of the battery and im not just using random car batteries im using batteries that were built for this purpose so don't worry about me robbing people of their money its going to good use and if this fails completely ill give the money back to my city so it doesn't go to waste on my family doing random stuff and by making these cars im already giving back to the community

I just grabbed a random picture off the internet we have a base model but you can electrify a suburban or a hummer they are too heavy thats why they are hybrids not electric

Weight of Cadillac Escalade: 5,521 to 5,785

Weight of Hummer H3: 4,695 to 4,883 lbs

Weight of Tesla model X: 5,267 to 5,377 lbs

Somebody forgot to tell Elon Musk that electrics have a weight limit... :deal
