Hi I just got this car's AC serviced and now the knob that you see doesn't have any tension so the blower cannot be turned on so I was wondering after I pulled it out I can't see how to get in there to either fix it or buy a new one so any suggestions would help me thank you you guys are great!! :D It WAS workin but I noticed "Blower" would shut OFF for about 10 seconds & turn back on but I didnt think it could be the "Lever" which has NO tension now so blower CANT be turned in :thumb videos below

It looks like the fan switch broke. There is a good write up here.

That write-up has some pics missing, but you can do this and you gotta be patient. After the fan switch is accessible, carefully take the top off the switch. Inside you look carefully and will find a tiny little ball. Find the ball, pull the lever out of the housing, and look for the spring. The ball is what makes the "click, click, click" of the fan selections. You need to get that ball between the housing and the spring and get the lid back on without it coming apart and losing the ball again. Once the cover is on, use a zip tie that fits around it like the pic in the thread Suzukitom posted and make that zip tie tight. It will work again and won't cost anything but your time :cheers

Press the top down and see if the switch works properly (the click click) before pulling the top off. If it works just zip tie it, if it doesn't follow Johnny's suggestion.

You're better off going through the glovebox.

Oh yes... I found that the be pretty easy. much easier to leave it tight and stabalized, then get the pliers and ziptie around it while it is in place..
I think her ball and spring has sprung, so she will have to take it apart to rebuild the internal..

it will work without the detent ball too, you just lose the indicator click that tells you you went to the next setting
