Re-reading the thread I see that the only mention of battery voltage is "plenty of juice".....have you actually verified the condition of battery and state of charge?

You mean a relay is clicking? When does it click?

So you're saying that the clicking sound Is completely normal?

If so I'm going to try a few other things and get back to you A.S.A.P.

Yes, I just got a brand new battery and can turn the key and tell it has plenty of power as everything lights up and holds firm.

I'm going to try a jumpstart just for the hell of it and also a push start if that doesn't work.

The relay click when I turn the key. I wasnt sure if their might be an issue in the relay.

A relay should click once when the key is turned on. Not sure you would hear it though. If it is continually clicking then that is not normal. I would start looking for a ground issue.

If it clicks while trying to crank it, its a bad battery or a poor connection.

That's not always true, if the starter motor failed (rare but it does happen) you would hear a solenoid click and still get no turn.

I am sure I will be corrected quickly if I am wrong, but I don't think there is a relay from the factory on the starting circuit for our little cars.

I do believe some people add a relay to the start circuit to remedy the "clicky starter" issue.

However at this point, it doesn't seem you have exhausted testing yet.

Again, if you can jump it, it is not your starter, you need to trace down the electrical issue that is causing your problem. This is a very simple circuit with two power sources and a case ground, there are good tutorials here on the forum you should follow step by step.

Battery terminal connections are a very common source of slow, hard or no start conditions.

Ok, omg I am so embarassed.

This falls under the umbrella of always check to see if a part works before you put it in.

New starter was no good, got a new-new starter and it starts.

thank you all!

But while you're here... what do I do with this oil in my air filter area, just wipe it out?

By clicking, I meant multiple continuous clicking while key is turned to start position.

As far as the oil, just wipe it off and use soray carb cleaner to clean throttle body out.

Is this just something Metros do and I should occasionally wipe out that area?

No it is not normal. Could be the beginning of a the oil fart stage. You may want to check the pcv valve and hose.
