reads to me like when checking the factory idle speed you don't install the jumper and therefore you are just checking the timing to see if it is close to 12-13 degrees (with out the jumper)--- then you check the idle speed to make sure it is correct---Im not even sure there is an idle speed adjustment as my hood sticker says its pre-set from the factory and should not be modified

or could be a misprint in the manual--- has been known to happen before

The 1989-91 MK2 MPFI T3 G10 is one of the few variants that has what Suzuki calls in the T3 FSM supplement, an 'idle adjust screw' located in the top of the throttle body. This screw allows base idle speed to be set by adjusting the amount of bypass air around the closed throttle plate.

Yup only available on MPFI as it has IAC...

it also improves the idling if something worn down the engine (aka poor man tune) I will set everything back to normal tomorrow because I need to install tachometer back. :lol

(in future, I might delete IAC... will see )

BTW... I just check advance timing without jumper lead for my curiosity... it was crazy 18' while idle... It must be from cleant FI. :whistle
