They are not available new anymore I don't think. I have seen a few online but they are expensive. I have been waiting for a 98 or newer 1.3 to show up at the pull a part.

Is it the same on a 2001 Suzuki Swift 1.3?
That's what I pulled the TP sensor, and the PCM from.
Also, the Suzuki is an automatic transmission.

The auto trans won't effect the crank timing gear.

I don't have suzuki numbers to check it against but I think the part number is the same. If you can get on off the car, see if the junk yard will let you take yours out with you to compare it too.

Sorry for the late reply. I'm working out of state, and I ran out of time last weekend.
That's awesome that the parts are the same. I will swap it when I get back to salt lake and post how it goes.
Thanks everyone for the help.

Ya make sure you did NOT use a gasket on the oil pan. Use a gasket sealer. The cranksensor will not work properly. There are two grounds back underneath the TBI manifold. They could be loose. Also two grounds on each side on the fender well inside. It is easy to fool yourself on the timing marks. I will be doing one this week myself.

He has a 99 with the 1.3 L. He doesn't have a throttle body. The grounds on that engine are located on the end of the head.

Hey all, good news!
Got the Jellybean back up and running last night. It seems that the Timing gear was the issue. :smackface
Sure enough, there was one measly tooth that had been broken off.
I'm still surprised that it was causing such an issue.
After swapping it out for a new one, she runs like a champ again!
Thank you guys for all your help. I definitely couldn't have done it without this forum. You guys rock! :cheers

Great to hear you got it fixed.

That little gear is responsible for initiating fuel and spark. Without that signal being correct the pcm can't send out the proper signals to make the engine run right.

Did you leave the oil pan gasket on?

how tight was the crank gear to the end of the crankshaft? did you need to use any pullers? on my 96 it was so tight it took me 7 hours to get it off-reamed out the center so it now goes on and off easier-
