How hard would it be to convert lets say a single point TBI engine (1.0L) in my 90 Metro, into a carburetor engine, assuming I could find the parts and what parts would need to be changed?

Electronic fuel injection was one of the greatest advancements ever made to automobiles...why would you ever want to go back to a carb?

Pretty sure all you need is about 3 feet of straw, this way you can just spit fuel at it from the drivers seat.

Well I was thinking of having the spare parts around just in case TSHTF scenario. Not wanting to open a debate here, just was thinking out loud, cause my 90 Geo isn't far from all manual. I would think the distributor and carb would all that would need to be changed, and add a few vacuum hoses and disconnect some others. Fuel pump would still have to be electric I would think though.

even with a vacuum type distributor you'll need to keep a distributor module in a steel ammo box. ;)

Some of the jdm engines I used to get from Japan came with carbs. Not sure what cars they came out of. Still have one of the carbs and intake setups

Do you remember if it had a mechanical fuel pump on the engine or do you think it had a electric type on the car?
