will need to change the intake maifold and throttle body, O2 sensor and distributor. but you will also have to replace the oil pump, lower crank gear and oil pan to be able to put in the crank angle sensor that reads off the lower gear. might be able to pull the oil pump off yours if it didnt have a bad engine bearing or just get a new one, not that expensive |

so pulling engine harness and ecu out of the 94 and cramming it in the 96 will not work? |

would have to rewire the car, the 96 ecu is on pass side behind glove box, 94 is above clutch pedal. also 94 fuse box is under the dash, 96 will be under the hood, easier to swap the egine parts |

The best way to describe what needs done is. Use the 94 block and head. Swap everything else from the 96 to the 94. Corvette 69 hit most of the big stuff. Intake and throttle body. Cam and crank timing gears, timing belt, tensioner and timing belt cover. Alternator bracket, water pump pulley. Distributor Thermostat housing and coolant sensor. Oil pump, oil pan. O2 sensor Accessory belts |

Checked the part number for a 94 compared to a 96. Part number is different. May or may not work. |

on the 96 what are the other problems beside the injector? I almost posted something to the effect of whoa you're going to swap out an engine to fix a problem of a bad injector and the I noticed you didn't have the word "the" between "that's" and "one" in post 5 which would change the meaning of what you are saying- |

thanks for answering-I would suggest maybe a compression test on the 96 to see what you got- |

Metal in the oil is most likely a broken piston. |
