Any name brand oil that is on "sale" at walmart will do just fine, it's usually $22+ tax for 5 quarts of full synthetic oil (Mobil 1 and Pennzoil was on sale when I got a jug last week), $13 or so for Conventional and High Mileage oils, find one that's on sale/rollback and you are set ;) I always go with Synthetic myself but some like to keep that extra $9 in their pocket on "non performance vehicles"... I like the extra "protection" that synthetic oil gives if you ever overheat things synthetic is a little more forgiving :D

I would also recommend a "Bosch" brand oil filter (easily found at Menards for under $5), for the price not many other filters have the micron ratings and capacity that the Bosch does, helps keep the crud out of your oil/engine

:gp I second that... don't skimp on air filters but oil is cheap... synthetic is good for 6-8k conventional for 3-4k... anything but fram for oil filter. and no bosch plugs... Go for denso.

I was wondering the same thing?? :hmm
I've only seen it posted 100 times that she bought it from her uncle the officer. :ermm:
Hmm, something seems off!!! B-)

Edit:

But wait there's more,
I just found this little gem in another post:

I have bought one piece of shyt after another off of Craigslist and I was hesitant too buy this car but knew it was a police officer that owned it and he said he drove it too & from Pahrump everyday too Vegas about 60 miles so he took care of it

So Prettygurl, Who did you buy this car from????????

5W-30 name brand oil. I prefer Mobil One and 5,000 mile change intervals, but I don't drive very much, time is more of a factor than mileage for me. If I was driving 20K or more per year I'd do Mobil One and 10K miles.

I don't believe in additives, I believe in buying top quality fluids and trusting the people who design fluids for a living.

Yeah Right!! :lol

Judging by the amount of pm's I received overnight, there seems to be quite a few folks on this forum that don't believe she tells the truth, or the account is fake.

To all of you that pm'd me, if you see bullshit, call it out as bullshit!!
I know we all like to help people fix thier cars, but when someone is bullshitting us, that doesn't sit well with me.

I feel the same way basiclly. I am all for helping someone out no matter who they are as long as they are honest.

Mr.Breeze questioned the fact about her saying she went to automotive class. A few of the people on the forum jumped on him for it.

Let's give her a chance to respond to tell us her side of it.

Not me. I congratulated him on it; albeit discretely, via PM. All he did was come out and say, what many of us were thinking.

I will point out that we don't need to be mean or nasty, but it isn't unreasonable to question someone when their information doesn't seem to line up.
