I have been reading reviews on different cordless impacts and Since I already have some of the Milwaukee M18 stuff, and have been thoroughly satisfied using it in a shop setting, I figured I would probably start there....Amazon has this review tagged as its top 5 star review....enjoy! *********original text************ Customer Review 5.0 out of 5 stars Your wallet ain't big enough to carry the man card this tool gets you. ByScotton March 1, 2016 The best tactical 1/2” impact wrench American dollars can buy. Tactical you ask? Heck yeah, bro. Like anything worth its tactical weight in para-cord, this baby has black grip on it and an LED light. Stubborn bolt threatening you? Shine the LED light in its face to disorient it and hit that sun-uv-a-gun with 1,100 pounds of American twisting torque. Penetrating oil? Penetrating oil is for communists. If it don’t turn the first time, you’re not turning hard enough. Man up. The body of the wrench is red so it won’t show the good ‘ol American blood you’ll bleed when busting knuckles working on your ’71 Hemi Cuda…cause the only thing we work on are muscle cars, M1-Abram Tanks, and the Statue of Liberty. Work on a Prius with this thing and you’ll likely flip the car over or twist it completely in half. Heck, the motor in this tool is bigger than the motor in the Prius. This impact gun does the quarter mile in 7.8 seconds…without nitrous. Tactical weapon or drag racer, which is it? It’s both. Don’t try to pigeon-hole this tool. This is America. It can be whatever it wants and as much as it wants. Salute. You heard right, Delta Force trains with these things. What kind of training? Well, that’s none of your fancy-pants business, but you can darn well bet it’s some hard-core stuff. Delta Force don’t tell you how to work on muscle cars, you don’t tell Delta Force how to smaesh Daesh—and no I didn’t spell that wrong. It’s got two power settings: 1) A lot, and 2) A whole lot more. I don’t need to tell you which one you should use. You wanna talk about batteries? These same batteries are on the International Space station. That’s right, that big American Flag floating in outer-frigging-space runs on these batteries. “International” Space Station you ask? Yeah, we all know “International” means, “Get out the way non-USA countries, Merica is here and we’re conquering space.” Put a flag in it. Those aren’t shooting stars, that’s American confetti falling to Earth. Stephen Hawking welded the anvils of two of these bad boys together and turned them on…..and made a black hole. Chuck Norris was the only person who could turn it off. Speaking of Chuck… Chuck Norris and Ronda Rousey made a love-child-baby that was raised by grizzly bears and bald eagles. That baby invented this tool. 'Nuf said. https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R1OIXH32CKSS5O/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_viewpnt?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B00GFUA6O4#R1OIXH32CKSS5O ***************************** I'm sold. |

Been wanting one of those for close to 2 yrs now, ever since reading other's reviews on it, here at GMF. Thing's a BEAST, so they say. One thing's for sure, if'n I ever do get me one, I'm going to get me a pink "Hello Kitty" impact gun protector sleeve for it, to protect it from bumps, bruises, and all that greasy pguc. Prolly use it to bust loose and adjust that nut at the end of my clutch cable with, while standing in my stocking feet. Might have to start 9 different threads on the topic, though, asking you guys....who are awesome, BTW, which way to turn the nut. Now how does that mnemonic go again? "Rooty-tooty, Fresh 'n Fruity, Righty-Tighty, Start Another Thread, and Ask Again"? Edited by PTA2PTB, Dec 12 2017, 09:27 PM.

I think I did a review on my Milwaukee 2763. Mine looks like it went through Vietnam but is still a MONSTER! I think I've only found 1 or 2 bolts/nuts in almost 4 years of owning that it wouldn't zap off and no impact would get those. Iirc I was using an extension too which isn't good. I think Dewalt and Ingersoll Rand are the 2 other big dogs. My deciding factor was that the batteries were cheaper than the IR and the M18 line has so many tools that I could use. I have no "ragerts" in buying it. That is by far the most expensive tool I have bought and I think I looked for a year before buying it. Things I don't like: The battery and the snot are almost straight up and down. IR does have the better design since the batteries are angled back. Really wish Milwaukee would have done this, but not a huge issue for me. I also don't like the selector from forward to reverse. Mine might just be wore out a little. One great thing is the warranty on these far exceeds the competitors iirc (you log them online or on the app). I know these lithium ions are suppose to give you the same power at 20% vs 100% charge, but I don't buy it. It seems like mine is slightly stronger when 100% charged. I think I have the 4.0 and that thing keeps a charge for a long time. I mean you don't really don't use the tool that long. Just short bursts. When you first use it, it seems like it won't break the bolt/nut loose, but that's because of some sensing technology that reads how much power it needs....or something like that. Then it immediately loosens it. BEFORE YOU BUY, SHOP AROUND. I bought my tool (no battery) from an online site that had a sale. Then, I bought the battery and charger separate on ebay. I think I saved $100 or $150 at the time. |

Haha. That review was pretty funny. I have personally killed 3 terrorists with tool, so the review is pretty accurate. |

I have a question perhaps a dumb one, but I'm going to ask it anyways, do those of you that have them find that you run into problems due to the bulk of the driver? I'm debating on buying the biggest 700 ft pound deal or just getting a smaller 200 is one, they seem to have excellent reviews as well and I'm just wondering if that would be plenty for just wrenching on my car and if given the size of our cars if the smaller size wouldn't be worth the tradeoff in power? Thoughts? The price difference is negligible. |

That's what I use, tom... works great! However I have wished for a sweet impact while removing rusty old bolts that have many hard turning threads- that steel pipe a half or quarter turn at a time sure gets old! Someday I will bite the bullet an get one! |

My 12v Bosch "pocket driver" is the most used tool in my appliance shop. Certainly not powerful enough to change the wheels on a semi, but it's rated at 80ft/lbs, so it should be about right for a Metro. Weighs just a hair over 3 lbs, and is very handy in the toolbox. |

I have a Crapsman as well. Never mind a stubborn nut or bolt...this thing won't take the cap off of a tube of toothpaste.
