What's the odds a '97 3/5 that's lived all it's life in Georgia & Tennessee would have solid frame horns? Toss up? Flip of the coin? Save me a road trip. |

Buy yourself a lottery ticket; the odds are about the same. But the jackpot, at least currently, is a lot bigger. Ask the seller to send you some pic's of the frame horns, to save yourself a lot of time and grief. |

Not a private seller or I would have done that. |

If its been far enough north in TN they use salt, so beware. Both my Metros were Alabama cars so no rust at all. Goergia should be safe if not on beach a lot. |

Well, they for sure use salt here in Middle TN. Not very often but, when they do, they do it up right...

If it was in Georgia most of its life, you should be golden. I don't think it even snows there. TN gets a little but not much. I doubt it has frame rust. |

LOL.... I guess that was meant to be funny... They just got 6+inches (15 cm) of snow across a wide swath of GA and AL this past week. |

I feel left out, since I have never actually seen a rusty frame horn in person. All I have ever seen is pictures of them here on the forum. |

I haven't owned one, but I took a look at and walked away from a '99 after I laid down so I could reach the frame horn...and managed to poke my finger right through the top of it. |

There are pretty much rust free bodys out in Cal area. Ours don't rust, they grow mildew, and lichen. |

Was thinking the exact same thing. "Rarely", and "Never", are completely different things. Kinda like the difference between receiving bj's from your wife before you married her vs after. Don't ask me how I know.

As Gelett Burgess might have penned if they had Geo Metros back in late 1800's: I never saw a rusted frame I never hope to see one But I can tell you anyhow I'd rather see than own one I've been deprived as well. Way too old to be tackling that issue. Scary enough seeing the images on here. |
