Hot, canned food vending machines anymore?; Hot food dispensed from cans

People knock it. But Chef Boyardee was credited with bringing Italian food to mainstream America.
FUN FACT: His real name was Ettore Boiardi. He was afraid people wouldn't be able to pronounce it, so he pronounced it for them right on the label...'Boy-ar-dee'!

Never a big fan of the stuff...even as a kid. But, then again, I am Italian and had a grandmother. :lol

They had the hot canned food machines in W. Germany in the early 80s. There were many nights I came in from guard duty and headed for the machines to get something warm to eat. Winter 83/84 was one of the coldest on record at that time. They also had a machine that sold hot soup in a cup. One of the cool things we did have was a beer machine in the barracks. In the states for .50 you could get a Budwiser, or over in W. Germany you could get a Hofbrau. I don't remember what those cost though.
