So I figured the Mitsubishi owners here would like to see some good news. It seems according to The Automotive Science Group the Mitsubishi Mirage Wins Automotive Science Group Best All-Around Performance of 2017 The Truth About Cars, The ‘Best All-Around Performance’ Car Available is the Mitsubishi Mirage, Apparently ASG 2017 BEST ALL-AROUND PERFORMANCE |

The criteria used " The BEST ALL-AROUND PERFORMANCE AWARD distinguishes the vehicle in each class that achieves the highest combined environmental, social and economic performance, earning ASG's top honor." I'll take it though |

I just clicked on the Automotive Science Group and it looked like every car made received and award. Looks more like a participation trophy than anything.... I also don't take too much stock into awards. Have no idea who is behind them. Here is an example of Consumer Digest, "Consumers Digest typically charges $35,000 for the first award and $25,000 for each subsequent award. Which means GM, which had 15 vehicles on the Digest’s 2010 Best Buy list, likely paid around $385,000 to Consumers Digest for the right to mention the honors." "Then there are very official-sounding things like the U.S. Global Quality Research System study, which Ford has been bragging about since it claims to have received the highest marks of all car makers in customer satisfaction. Only issue here is that Ford paid for this survey and they won’t actually tell anyone how the competition scored." awards |
