I agree with those who panned the Juke. Explanation #1, It looks like they put all the Blind automotive stylist's Ideas (that were hired in a misguided equal opportunity hiring publicity stunt) threw into a bag. shook it up,poured it out, and wherever the lines landed that,s what went into production. (This same team had been recently fired from GM's Aztek styling studio.) Explanation #2 This is what Styling by committee,Looks like (After a weekend retreat where consensus and team building was the primary theme) Explanation #3. This is a result of a new styling studio being built 200 feet up in the top of the ugly tree. The juke fell out during a high wind and bounced off every branch on the way down. The production guys saw it on the ground and figured the stylist were finally done with it, and put it into production. Best wishes each, Jonathan |

The Juke is ugly. Certain colors really look bad. The white and silver come to mind. The Cube is also ugly but I understand it is actually a good car besides that. For those hating on the Mirage and the Juke, they use the same CVT transmission as well. The Aztek was another failed experiment that many credit with finishing off the Pontiac division. There are still a few of these around and they have taken on that "ugly cool" thing, especially with Breaking Bad. Our local radio station has one. It is white and has all the stickers for their stations and promotions, etc. They take it out when they broadcast onsite so it is the perfect vehicle to attract attention. Conor |

How about the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport? This just looks like a sized-up Mirage if you ask me. It also gets really good ratings for an inexpensive crossover SUV in terms of safety and overall value. They say it isn't the most refined out there but what do you expect for 1/4 the price of a Lexus? It gets 5 star ratings and has some relatively high end features for only $20,000 new. I like the looks of the thing but then I have no issues with the looks of the Mirage. My GF really likes this one and says maybe she will pick one up used as a second car one day for longer trips. I would insist on the AWD model for her in snowy weather. For me I might do the base 2WD model with the manual transmission. Anyway, I don't dislike the way it looks and it gets good reviews overall and comes with a great warranty. Here are some pics. https://www.google.com/search?q=mitsubishi+outlander+sport&rlz=1C1AVNE_enUS685US685&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjVp-b3uO_YAhULeawKHeHOC64Q_AUICigB&biw=1734&bih=861 Conor |
