radio antenna.... IF it won't keep a cassette in, it could be a funny metal tang that isn't positioning proper to hold it right and it instantly ejects. never had one of these apart to fix the cassette thing, but i have 2 of them that do the same thing

Antenna... Ok maybe the connection is disconnected to the back of the radio. I’ll start there.

Thanks MR1 :thumb

Yeah, there are a couple things I need to fix, but it is one of those things that I had to have.
I owned a ratty 1990 metro that I drove many years ago when I was young and poor as dirt and have always said it was the best and funnest car I ever owned. I was willing to pay more and will be enjoying it :drivin and fixing it for a long time, God willing. The way I see it, that car will pay for itself within two summers with fuel, plates, and insurance savings.

I’m not sure what frame horns are, but I saw nothing but original painted surfaces without rust throughout. I plan on protecting all the metal surfaces I can with epoxy paint and/or undercoating mixed with unicorn piss or something... I haven’t quite figured it out yet, I’m still researching/learning :news

Thanks for the pics, now I know. :thumb
No luck uploading a pic, but my Geo has only painted surface and no rust. If I look really close there may be a trace of rust at the seam. I plan to remove that with maybe a sand blaster and then a trillion coats of epoxy paint. I may also consider lubricating it from the inside using lanolin based Flex Film via a small access hole and a special flex spray nozzle.
