Radiator hooked up correctly?

From the Reservoir tank you have two tubes one has an out arrow which that plug just hangs. The other goes to the radiator. There seems to be a plug on the back side of the fan but the tube does not reach. My guess is the plug with the arrow goes to the top of the radiator and the other goes to the back of the fan. This a 1994 Geo metro 4 door. Sorry but my camera takes pics that are too big to post.

Definitely doesn't go to the fan, liquid and electronics don't mix :lol I do believe one of them is meant to hang loose as an overflow

The overflow tube from the reservoir goes through a slot in the front of the battery tray...the hose from the radiator connects at the fill neck and runs through a plastic ring on the left upper radiator support then to the overflow tank reservoir...

just to add to compnut21's post, the open ended overflow tube will dribble coolant onto the ground in the event that an overheated engine has already filled up the overflow reservoir with coolant.

Thank you Soo much the pic is how mine is hooked up. Had an issue with my car idling for like 30 mins, radiator fluid started flowing everywhere. Caught it quickly so did not loose mush fluid it was a warm day, about 70. It a 24 year old car so I'm not going to worry about it.

I would check and make sure your cooling fan is coming on when it is supposed to.

How do I check to see if the fan is coming on?

one way to test the fan is to unplug the temp sensor which is plugged in on the thermostat housing that lets coolant back into the radiator. unplugged the fan should come on even with cold engine... Then start and warm it up... if it's sittin still it should come on also.

'94 is an OBDl Metro...
To test the Cooling Fan Circuit you will have to jump the two wires at the coolant sensor at the thermostat housing...
The computer does not control the relay on an OBD1 system...

That tube on the fan motor is sort of an overflow too. It allows shredded particles from the brushes wearing to escape from the motor housing.

So my radiator fan was not turning on! My friend helped my Jimmy rig it so it comes on any time the ignition is on. So my issue is I'm getting no power to the fan.
